When we launched The Happy Start on Amazon in September 2023, we were a small, family-owned business with a big vision: make early developmental resources available to every family, regardless of budget or background.
What started with two simple products—a High Contrast Board Book and High Contrast Vision Cards—has grown into a brand trusted by parents, pediatric professionals, hospitals, and childcare providers across the United States.
As two dads and small business owners, we built these products with our own experiences in mind. We wanted developmental tools that were engaging, research-informed, multilingual, and affordable enough for every family to access.
Receiving recognition from organizations that evaluate products specifically for families makes this award especially meaningful.
The Parents' Picks Awards are designed to help families identify outstanding products for children and parents. According to the organization, award winners undergo a rigorous evaluation process that considers factors such as quality, innovation, durability, engagement, ease of use, and overall value for families. Since launching, The Happy Start has donated educational products to more than 200 organizations across 22 states and Washington, D.C., including children's hospitals, daycares, nonprofits, and community organizations serving families and infants.
Our commitment remains the same today as it was on day one: for every milestone we achieve as a company, we want to create more opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive.
